Patrick Alain Eliminated in 2nd Place ($10,900)
NLHE Event #3 Day 2 1/236
Level 25: 12,000-24,000/4,000
A winner is crowned! The heads up duel took less than 10 hands and ended with a bang. Patrick Alain raised to 80,000, Jean-Pierre Didier three-bet to 244,000. Alain then moved all in and Didier confirmed with the dealer, then announced the call.
Alain: As Jd
Didier: Ac 7d
The 7c appeared in the window and put Didier in the lead, it was followed by the Qh and the 4h. The 2c on the turn was a blank and just one of the three remaining jacks in the deck would help Alain. Instead, it was the blank 3h river that ended the tournament and eliminated Alain in second place for $10,900.
Didier wins the first WSOP Circuit ring of the festival and will receive $17,700. A recap of today’s action will be available soon.
